A Rapid Rhythm for Climate Action

Bringing together all the climate-related hazards into one syncopated rhythm is the goal of a new website that is designed to help US communities to make more informed decisions on climate action.

The US Federal Government created the Climate Mapping for Resilience and Adaptation (CMRA) website. It is a collaboration between the White House Biden-Harris administration and Esri, a commercial geographic information system software company.

Setting the beat for rapid information getting out to all, the website brings together data from many sources from the deep bass drum of ongoing temperature increases to the climatic crash of cymbals of hail and other sudden weather events. The website creates a steady rhythm of information to help cities, counties, states, tribes, and territories to make better decisions about where and how to take climate-related actions.
